If we get rid of it, we'll hear gripes from people pissed off by people posting Wii availability in the Hot Deals. How is this sub-forum hurting you at all?

No...Turn it into an off topic gaming forum. There are obviously alot of gamers on Slickdeals...and the lounge is too crowded with other weird topics.

Just make it a Wii availability forum. I've found the forum helpful for finding remotes and nunchucks. We all know there are no PS3 shortages, so just drop that.

Yesterday (3/15) I finally saw a Wii console on a shelf at Meijers. I haven't been hunting them down and i'm not interested in buying one but since release whenever i've been in a store that sells Wii consoles I've checked to see if they were in-stock. Never, until today. Time to close the thread, i've finally seen a Wii box. :lmao: j/k

I think that it is time that this merged with the other forums. Deals can go to hot deals, and the others can go to their respective corners; support, lounge etc.

Time to go. Availability is mentioned in very few posts. Maybe adding a a games off topic section might be useful. As of right now I just check out the "Availability Forum" for the drama.

It should stay but be changed to Wii availability forum. PS3's have been plentiful for months now and Wii's are still heavily sought after.

The only PS3 related info that's useful to me is the cheap games listing for that ebay guy selling the disc only titles.

I agree, i don't see how this hurts anyone by being here. But maybe it should be changed into a deals for PS3 and Wii forum, instead of a availability forum.

No reason why gamers cant get a deal on games too--

I also think this should be a Wii availability forum. But strictly a Wii AVAILABILITY forum. From what I see there's still a lot of people that have yet to get one. And once they are easily available then it would be time for the sub-forum to go.

Forum has stopped being about finding systems and turned into system-bashing.
I know a lot of people are still looking for Wiis (and PS3s in some areas) but this forum is being ruined.

I think it's still a useful forum for availability, but also discussion and other questions (even though that may not be the main purpose). Should we get rid of the black friday forums from a year and 2 years ago? I don't think so.... just like this, you don't like it, you don't have to read it.

I think it's find to leave it. Although it should be modded more closely as a lot of these topics end up turning into arguments between fanboys of each respective console.

I think there should just be a gaming forum, much like there is one for hot deals, contests, coupons, etc. forget the subforum, just make a new game forum so all this stuff can go there

i think it should stay its a great sub-forum. it helps a lot. i got a wii from reading this section. and now it helps to find cheap games and accessories and what not.

and of course your gonna get your occasional a-holes to ruin thing. but doesn't that happen everywhere just something you got to deal with

Yes, it's time to get rid of this. 2 reasons:

1. There is no shortage of PS3. Many online stores have it (Ebgames... etc.)

2. There is a shortage of Wii. However, if you purchase a Wii in store it will cost you about $275 (with tax). If you purchase it on Ebay it will cost you about $315 shipped. The difference isn't large enough to justify an entire forum to find this console. If you want it, get it on Ebay... or wait another 2 weeks and get it at Bestbuy.

Although I was one to request the thread (to clean up the Hot Deals section) I think it's about time that this sub-forum should go. It's turned into a system bashing thread. And even though there are a number of people who've yet to get their Wii, the overal demand for it has dropped. I think it's a safer bet to pick a store or two and call them up for availability from time to time.

Since the PS3 and Wii are no longer hard to find or priced extremely high on Ebay, they should change the forum to a different one dedicated at finding what's valuable now.

I say they create a forum for finding dates (men or women)... cheap dates... those are always valuable and in-demand, unlike video game consoles.

Why the vitriol? Yes, there's drama. But it's the internet. There's drama everywhere.

Make it a Wii console/accessories/games deal forum, if you're really itching to change it.

I found this forum invaluable while searching for my Wii and have gotten several pointers towards deals on games. I'd hate to see the forum disappear completely.
