How do these freebiz subscriptions work, I am new to this. When i try it always gives me a list of crappy ones that I don't want but not the original one.

i always use student all the way through. it worked for this one.

if you recently signed up for a sub using the same email address you're trying to use, try a different email address and that works too (sometimes).

Thanks!! Worked for me, It just told me to log in and that was that. If it is your first time doing FBM they do give you this crazy long survey. They use that to email you about certain magazines. But once you're finish just come back and click the link it takes you back to the page you can put in student and use the same email you signed up with and just log in when it tells you they have you on file and you never have to do those question thingys again.

They have a lot of other great titles on the list (Time, Entertainment Weekly, Sports Illustrated), and the selection changes from time to time. If you do subscribe, just be sure to watch your mail for the generic little postcard that shows up in about 9 months, warning you that you are about to be automatically renewed at full price. You have to call the tollfree number on the card to prevent the automatic charge. Have done it many times.

So I went to check how long my sub runs and the expire date is APR 11, but it says 10 issues remaining so I'm confused. I take it I have 10 more issues coming. But what does the Expire date mean?

Hmm that would make more sense. I bought a subscription not too long ago. And if you use two different email addresses you get two years. Seems like they go by the email addy moreso than the address as the email was the only thing I changed.
