This is my 1st post so please be nice. This week 10/21 -10/27 at CVS if you buy $20 in Tylenol extra strength, PM, radip release, EZ tabs, 8hr 100ct, or arthritis 80/100ct, you get $10 in extra bucks. There is a limit of 5 per card, so combined with the $5off coupons floating around here you can potentially make $40-$50 and get free Tylenol. Here is the link for the Tylenol coupon.

FMMR: Be careful IF you expect to use more than one $5.00 cpn on any transaction. The cpns appear to be coded for one time use. I tried to use 2 from two different computers and Walgreens (normally easier than CVS with cpns) wouldn't take the second cpn b/c computer said limit one.

Did you try the $5 coupon on different transactions?

I used 2 in a transaction at Wags yesterday with no problem....

Just a tip. Instead of putting 'this week' in your posts, always put the dates for us, so we don't have to figure it out.
Like this: '10/14-10/20 at CVS' or '10/21-10/27 at CVS'
It never hurts to remind us what you are referring to so if replying to a post in a forum with lots of pages or post, remind us exactly what comment you're posting about.
Just a small bit of text or description is enough:
Like 'RE:the xxx coupon by user xxx' or 'RE: the xxxx deal by user xxx'
Thanks KAT

I don't see this in my ad for this week (10/14). Assuming this is for next week (beginning 10/21), then it is a repost (http://www.slickdeals.net/forums/showthread.php?sduid=32751&t=625436)

The CVS's and grocery stores around here have no problem taking 4,5, or even 6 at a time. As a matter of fact I used 3 at Kmart yesterday to take advantage of their buy 3 tylenol cold products and get a free $5 gift card instantly. So it cost me .45cents for 3 cold products and then got a $5 gift card. They say they have unique codes on the coupons, but I see people photocopying them and using them with no problems. A lot of people wouldn't do this or some would, but it is up the person with the coupons to do what they want. If anything is said to them they just say I have a black & white laser printer that I print with and besides it says on the coupon 1 coupon per item, not 1 per person or transaction.

Does the $20 Tylenol have to be bought in 1 purchase or can I buy $10 worth 1 day and $10 worth another day and still get my $10 ECB? I don't think I'm brave enough to use 4 coupons at the same time.

yes u can buy it $10 worth in 1 day and the other in the next. you can buy it one a day if you like. Just as long as u have bought $20 by the end of the sales week.

The coupon says "ONE COUPON PER PURCHASE", so don't be surprised if the casheir won't allow you to use more than one per transaction. You can always ask them to ring up a second transaction (say you're shopping for your elderly parent and want to keep things on seperate receipts). Don't forget to use a $4 off $20 CVS coupon if you can find one.

Almost ALL coupons say that, even the ones that come in the Sunday paper. It just means that you can only use 1 coupon for 1 of the products

i.e. "1 per purchase" isn't the same thing as "1 per transaction"

If you have a cashier that trys to tell you otherwise, don't let them.. they are wrong..

I used 2 of the Tylenol q's at my Walgreens yesterday with no problems or register beeps :)

..and I've used 2 "like" coupons at the same time at my cvs without a problem either.

Thanks, KAT. That always throws me for a sec and and I have to see which thread I'm in. I thought the same thing when I just read the post. I thought, Isnt it next week? People have habit of referring to 'this' as the week of the thread. Also, not referring back to the post they are commenting on....thanks reps for saying what I thought.

A coupon itself can not be coded (within the UPC code) to say "only allow one of these PER transaction". Normally the computer system itself is coded to only allow one coupon of an item per # of that item purchased.

However, this would just be CVS itself not allowing more than one coupon. But I know my cvs accepts the same non-printable coupons in the same transaction.

Therefore, it is possible that they have some additional logic that more than one coupon over $X is not allowed w/o override.

Too many unknown factors, but I just wanted to make it clear that a coupon itself does not indicate this, so it would have to be how CVS handles it.

Can someone please tell me how you can potentially make $40-$50 off this? I went to CVS today and the cheapest item that fits the description is $8.99. So here's my math:

Buy 3 qualified items at $8.99 each = $26.97
Use 3 $5 off coupons = $15
Use $4 off $20 from CVS email and here's the breakdown: $26.97 total - $4 (CVS email) - $15 Tylenol coupons = $7.97.

Get $10 in ECB and you net $2.03.

I want to know as well....

Here's how it went down for me this morning at local CVS...

The most effective combination of Tylenol that I could find was (1) Tylenol PM at $13.19 + (1) Tylenol Extra Strength at $8.99 = $22.18 - $10 ECB - 2@ $5 MC = $2.18 OOP plus any tax. I did three sets on the same transaction (had 6 coupons) and got a single ECB ticket back that says $30.

Also has a $2 off $10 that I threw into the mix. No problems with any of it.

I made money without trying...well, I was trying, but not in the way it turned out...

I bought three Tylenols and got no EBs :(

I had apparently gotten the wrong sizes (ad didn't specify a size on the ones I bought, but the manager asured me that it was for the 80 count and up only).
She told me to do a return and volunteered to do it herself.
I had originally paid .38 oop and used $12 EB's (the cashier only rang up 1 of my 2 $5 c/o's).
She gave me back .38 and a gift card for $21.11.
I didn't need the Tylenol, only wanted to rotate EBs so I am a happy woman!!

I don't see how they managed to get that many coupons

A lot of people have more than one pc, or they print them at work, school, libraries, etc.

Very YMMV, at most stores they will not allow the stacking, unless you find a cashier who doesn't care.
