This is a new CVS OT BS thread bc the old one hit 150 pages. Welcome, and enjoy. I've created a wiki below for anything super important that should be added to the front page for a ' quick view '.
edit: The other thread was closed. Let's use this one now.

We can close this one. I just though it'll make it easier. If you feel we should continue with the old one, let me know. We'll try to go with majority.

Yep! I like the other one better for that reason too!
Although if I post one more time, I'll be at a nice even number! But only if I post here and not there.

ok...you got me;) the new q thread I did when the other got insanely long. This most recent one though I did not do. A mod set up the new one and kept my OP & added other comments to the post when they got sick of people being ot on the first one. Then I just made up the bs one for eosicki cuz she's my homegirl and I didn't want her not to post after being mod warned for being ot. Just wanted to fit in one more post that could count on my total before this gets deleted...hope I make it, kinda got long winded.:lmao:

I'm going to do some BS-ing in this thread. I bought the Eucerin Redness sampler kit to finish off my Eucerin deal. I open it up at home and the sunscreen has an expiration date of 9/30/07. I'm just going to assume that everything else is expired also. I'm going to look weird returning it since I used a bunch of coupons, argh.

IMO we should be here. Eventually the mods will probably shut the other one down for length and if they do that they may start passing out warnings again.
I just noticed that one of many eucerin products is expired. It didn't even occur to me to check. Oh well. I guess I'll throw it out, at least the rest of them seem to be fine.
I wish kids would come by, I need to get rid of some of this candy. I guess I'll hang around for awhile just in case and then head off to pillage the grocery store. :evillaf:

I'm mainly a lurker, but I thought you all might enjoy this story. I was out of my "home" area looking for Nova monitors and had an interesting conversation with a CVS manager. He was trying to figure out how to ring up the coupon and of course noticed the ECBs that printed. He started asking questions about where the coupon came from, etc. I showed him the ad and he was amazed. In a non-appreciative tone he said, "We are paying you to take this." I wasn't sure how to answer that, so I just smiled.
I was buying other stuff to roll some ECBs and had everything figured pretty close to the penny. He said, "You've done this before." LOL, you could say that! He goes on to mention that they have a lady that comes in all the time and buys one hundred dollars worth of stuff and pays 26 cents. He was concerned about the Nova limit being 5, because he said this lady has 2 or 3 cards. So I decided to have a little fun. Playing dumb I asked wide-eyed, "Is that allowed?" He said, "I don't know, probably not. But somehow she's managed to register three cards." So I said, "Well, I guess one could be her husbands, her kids, etc." He said, "Yeah, she has 9 kids." Well now I really was shocked! I told him that I couldn't believe she would have time for CVS with 9 kids. He said, "Oh yeah, if she pays more than a dollar, something's gone wrong." I thought that was the funniest thing.
Of course it also makes me wonder what is said about me at my "usual" CVS stores. It was so embarrassing last week. I went to one store (not one that I frequent as often as the others) and there were three managers from three of my "usual" stores all helping unload stock. I can only imagine the stories they compared after I left! I'm still cringing when I think about it!

Not sure where we're posting, I voted to stay in the old thread, I am not sure how many posts constitute a thread that is large enough for the mods to close. That thread seemed to be staying under the radar - just the way I like it. Not many outsiders or crazies, but just enough new folks adding into the fold to make it nice.
But since I'm here, I had a response to:

Hm, I had something like that happen, and I thought the same thing. About two weeks later, I'm in and the manager tells me he hasn't seen me in about a month. I told him the last time I was in, they were unloading a bunch of stock, and there were some guys here with him I didn't remember seeing in the store before (playing dumb).
His response? He says, "Hm, we were so busy that day, I guess I didn't even see you, you should have said hi." Yes, I did skulk around and try to avoid them, but felt the same as you. So, who knows for sure!

Whenever I stay away, they always ask me where I have been. Then they seem to get extra nice to me. I asked my husband if they could possibly feel glad to have me because they realize I help their numbers go up even with coupons.

Lol, the one manager in particular doesn't speak to me...seems very "suspicious" of my dealings. He definitely saw me and then of course he saw me at "his" store the next day. I thought about saying something clever like, "It seems like I'm following you", but he doesn't seem to be receptive to anything like that.
It's really a shame, because I feel very uncomfortable in certain stores, even though I know I'm doing everything above board. I have one store where the employees are the best, very friendly, know and understand the ECBs, etc. I was told at that store that I was the topic of their loss prevention meeting. She explained that a few of their customers play the Grocery Game (she knows I don't) and that they know what to buy, what coupons to use and end of with little oop. The LP guy said as long as the coupons are legit (she stated that mine always are) it's fine. She gave me his name so that if any stores give me grief, I can say that so and so gave me the okay. That made me feel good, but I wish the other stores "got it". I'm not doing anything wrong, but they make me feel like I am.

As for tonight--DH called--he has a conference call from 6-8 with some company in Taiwan. He's been having a lot of these lately :( I don't understand because the product he makes is manufactured here in the US. I think maybe it's one of the machines they use that's from Taiwan.

Thank you GarnierMoney for understanding per my PM.
All,
Please do NOT post any futher here until we see if the original thread has been reopened -- please give that 2 hours at least. If nothing comes of it, then I will go ahead and let you know (GarnierMoney has already been informed).
At this time DO NOT MAKE ANY NEW THREADS at ALL. We just are going to have to just hold tight -- If you have any questions PM me. I have to go back to work for the next 30 minutes -- so PM me.
Note: The old thread is back up and running per normal -- let us be more careful and watch the fighting.
