I am not sure we get the same product with rebate in online order. I bought it in store and it has a mail in rebate card.
drug store has the rebate information (http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.asp?pid=86743&catid=10016)

normally, the rebate form says what you would get will not exceed what you paid
it says that, but then they often will pay the full amount anyway :)

I've done dozens of these and never had that happen.

I agree with OP. I did the same then and got my rebate as well.

I got the rebate too, but only for $10. Not $50/$40. On my reciept it rang up as $9.99, not $59.99 like others.

I'm guessing from your original post date that this is not valid anymore. Good find though, please don't hesitate to post when CVS runs the promotion again!
I'll be sure to buy next time and make $30 in profit!

Yeah, I did this last December when they had those diabetes books with the monitor coupons...wasn't aware they had more monitors with rebates....will hit all my local CVS's tomorrow! As far as the comments in your old post....I always got the original price mailed back to me...I got over $135 mailed to me in rebates and paid nothing for the monitors and got $20 CVS bucks with each one...it was a crazy good deal. What you have to do when you mail the rebate receipt in is black out with a sharpie all information that shows any coupons or CVS savings...they assume you are just blacking out your credit card info. Like I said....worked for me every single time!

I've sent in 7 rebate forms for the Ascensia Breeze meter. Got three rejections and three $9.99 rebates. On the 7th one, I forgot to include the UPC with the form, and they actually sent me a letter requesting it plus a postage-paid envelope to mail it back in.
On one of the rejections, I had blacked out all coupons and totals. The others I just circled or highlighted the Breeze purchase. So, I'm not sure that there is any advantage to the blackout method.
