Discussion thread for this week has been set up, and is HERE (http://forums.slickdeals.net/showthread.php?p=8894000#post8894000)

There are two CVS threads for each weekly ad. So, how do you know what to put where?
- Anything that everyone needs to know should go in the Ad/Deals thread (prices, coupons, what worked that shouldn't have, what didn't work that should have). The Wiki post (always the 2nd post in a thread) is updated constantly by users just like you!

- Ask yourself: "Does someone who is checking this thread via dialup before going to CVS really need to know this information?" If not, put it in the Discussion thread!

- Other stuff like questions, scenarios, what you plan to buy, what you bought, how great the deals are, how bad the deals are, chat where you're getting to know other SD CVS'ers etc, should all go in the discussion thread for each week.

Keeping track of all the CVS threads:
Subscribe to the threads you want to keep track of. (See links below)

To subscribe to a thread when you're already in the thread:
- go to the top of the page
- click on Thread Tools on the upper right hand side
- click Subscribe to this thread

To see the threads you've subscribed to, click "User CP". It's at the top of every page on the left. Any of your subscribed threads that have new posts will show in the center of the page. You can also click “View all subscribed threads” to see all threads, whether they have new posts or not.

(You can also 'sticky' every CVS thread to the top (also under Thread Tools), so if you go into Hot Deals or Deal Talk or Coupons you see all CVS threads at the top of the page.)

NEW: Too many pages in your CVS threads?
You can change your settings to show more posts per page, with the maximum being 40 posts per page. (This lets you scroll down more without having to keep hitting 'next page')

Go to “User CP”
Click on “Edit Options”
Scroll down until you see "Use this option to set the number of posts to show in a thread before splitting the display into multiple pages."
You'll see a drop down box where you can select the Number of Posts to Show Per Page.
If you make a change be sure to scroll down to the bottom and click on “Save Changes”

Found this great $1.00 off tide free coupon good for any size. From what i understand it will scan on other types of tide too. Should come in handy with the P&G deal!

Please be careful with this one.. it looks like a pamphlet that was made to be printed (like the Nestle Juicy Juice coupon), not an online coupon.. :) I cannot say one way or the other definitely, just want my SD friends to be careful if you aren't sure!

Please be careful with this one.. it looks like a pamphlet that was made to be printed (like the Nestle Juicy Juice coupon), not an online coupon.. :) I cannot say one way or the other definitely, just want my SD friends to be careful if you aren't sure!

Agreed, looks like a scan to me

Does anyone know if it's ONLY the 8 pack batteries of AA and AAA from Duracell that count in this P&G sale for ECBs? Or will the 16 pack work? I found some awesome peelie q's at CVS today for $2.50 off each 16 pack of Duracell.. they say "Redeem at CVS" but they also say Manufacturer's q on the reverse side, so I'm not sure if you could use a Manufacturer's q with them or not.. :)

Someone reported the size does matter thought it is not specified in the ad or in store. I think it was just supposed to be for the 16pk...though I may be wrong. Can't remember where I read it...sorry. The manu q can be used anywhere. Even if it says CVS. Now if you have a crt, you can combine that with it. HTH

100% it is NOT a scan. This coupon is very easy to find online with a simple search. It is completely legit. I only Wish I could have a scanner with THAT good of quality :lmao:

No one should worry using it ... trust me it's safe or google it yourself.

(I would never post a 1 time use coupon BTW)

I understand completely what you're saying.. I'm just worried because it appears to be a flyer that should be printed - where the coupon has a front side and a back side. Sometimes .pdf files turn up on the internet where it has been saved as a file for a printer to print a flyer/pamphlet to go in newspapers, etc. It's actually not supposed to be a printable coupon for people at home, if you see what I'm saying..? Of course, it is the company's responsibility to make sure that it doesn't get on to the internet, too.. I think Nestle learned their lesson with that one.. :lmao: So I think that one is a personal call for each individual! :)

It was a promotion from tide themselves... I think it was pediatric thing or something but it had the link for the official coupon courtesy of tide. Dont know how it could be more legit than that.

I do know the December P&G ad says .75 cents off a 4 pack or larger AA or AAA or any size C,D or 9V or PowerPix or UltraDigital or UltraDigital Photo Lithium. So if you bought 4 of the 4 packs, and you had enough coupons, that would actually be a $3 savings. :)

when I googled, this came up from a mommy save site. When I went direct to the tide website...I found this info posted in the FAQ section:

go to www.save.ca. It's a link on the homemadesimple site and will take you to a coupon site. Tide is always listed. They will mail you the coupons.
You know everyone carries on like Tide is the only detergent worth using. I have always had the same results with Sunlight, and Gain as I have with Tide. I buy the one that is on sale usually at Zellers or Wal Mart

I think if it was legit, it should have came up from the tide website. Seems to me like they mail their q's only.

Mmmm, crackers, which are good for soup and chili season! The TLC cracker/snack $2 Q's are coded the same and work on each other's products. I think they might even work ont he cereal too, heh.

posted the $1.00 off Tide coupon in the WIKI with link to the original post. It comes from this website http://www.kidshealthmatters.org/ and I can verify that it was posted on that website as a PDF file as all of their coupons are. You can set up an account for yourself and verify this. However, the Tide coupon is not posted on the website any longer, was replaced with other very valuable coupons. There is however still a PDF available in the original post from the coupons board and the coupon is valid until 3/31/08. You should not have any trouble using it. Just FYI for everyone!!!

That really sucks, I hate it when certain sales are regional. Makes me feel like my region is not as important as other ones or that it's fine to jack the price up on us, like we are stupid, we will pay the higher prices. But I haven't noticed CVS cutting our area out of deals yet, but our walmart here does it, especially Black Friday sales. Burns me up.

Couple of q's I notice missing on the wiki.

1. $3 off Pampers Easy Ups. If you look inside the pkgs of Easy Ups, there should be a cardboard q for $3 off. They are on the outside edge of the package.

2. Renu--a printable for $2.50 off here (http://slickdeals.net/?sduid=245993&t=667195&u2=http://bricks.coupons.com/Start.asp?tqnm=sk3hfxw19017984&bt=wg&o=50220&pt=&lang=&ws=&ct=&ci=&cl=&cp=&eb=1&c=BL&p=45932&z=&r=&pc=&tc=).

I'm new and its my first post here, so I hope that helps someone!

when i use that Renu link, its says i've reached the coupon max. I went through the website here (http://www.bausch.com/en_US/consumer/coupon_and_rebates.aspx) and it printed fine. thanks!

Found a coupon that was from a few weeks ago, sorry not sure which week. It expires 12/30 and it save 55cents of one package of Keebler club crackers.

Yeah! I have that one too, but it is not listed in the taylortownpreview.com . Odd. Mine is actually $1 off 2, but we typically get different coupon amounts in our Boston paper. It was from an entire page in the coupon insert of about 5-6 Keebler products that were $1 off 2. I am also going to combine it with a $2 off 2 Keebler printable from Rite Aid. My local CVS allows for competitors' coupons. I finally asked them why they allowed for other store's coupons and expired manf, CVS, & ECBs. A cashier in the know said is was becasue they are a new store and they are trying the expired coupon thing out for a year.

If any of you have a new CVS in town, it doesn't hurt to ask if they accept expired coupons. I'm always really upfront about using the oddball coupons that they allow and put them right on top of the stack, so they are not surprised when they beep.

ALL of my Proctor and Gamble coupons expire 11/30. Has anyone seen any evidence of any new coupons from them that can be used this week..? Will there be an insert released for this week? I'm really grumpy over this, because I have coupons for EVERY item that is in this ECB deal this week.. but none good past 11/30.

go to the p&g website. New ones out on 12-02. You can see which are coming 12-02 on couponmom.com sign up and go to coupon data base.

Sorry, although I read it 3 times, I still do not quite understand this. What's "GarnierMoney appreciation week"? What's it about? Is it like manufacture's rebate? Shoud I borrow them ASAP next week?

Any input would be highly appreciated! Thanks.

those coupons are reimbursed by the manufacturer, CVS is making money on them.

for P&G promo- does everything have to be bought in one transaction to get the ECB or can things be bought one at a time?

Usually things can be bought one at a time, a few at a time, or all at once (unless it states in the ad). I don't have the ad in front of me, but I've never had a problem doing deals a few items at a time. I would assume the same would apply for the P & G deal this week. Hope this helps. :)

I live in southern OK, and you have to do it all in one order here. Let's use the Revlon spend $20, get $5 ECB's deal for an example. Say I spend $10 on Revlon in one transaction. Then I spend another $10 in a second transaction with in the time frame of the sale. It will not print out the $5 ECB's on the second transaction.

I was only ever able to find one of the Nova's and the manager over rided my coupon to $20.00 making me pay $9.90. Is this correct??? I wasn't at my regular store and he wasn't very nice about it. I figured I was still making $10.10 so no worries...

If this is good until the 8th will I get it for Free with the coupon and then the $20 ECB's?

Really??? That's interesting. You would think that all stores would be the same, but....as we have learned...they're not! That just makes everything confusing! Then I guess it's YMMV on buying items for a deal all a once/separately.

Maybe it depends on what computer system they are using. :dontknow: It has happened to me twice that I didn't get the ECB's because of that. I finally asked and was told that was why. My store is so good its not worth making a big deal about.

Also tonight the ECB's were not printing for the Febreeze deal. :dontknow: Not sure why.

Interesting how they have the $5 ECB when you buy $20 P&G and the Tide is $4.99, so if you just buy that you need to buy 5 of them. So if I buy 4 of the $4.99 Tide, what's the cheapest P&G listed item listed for a filler for the .04 needed to make $20 for the $5 ECB.

That looks good to me, but I dont have any Charmin Q's, other than the IPQ's and those are for the Tripple Layer, so I dont think they'd fly. ??? What I just might have to do is buy 4 Tides with Q's and 1 Charmin w/o Q. .75/roll is a lot for TP considering I paid ~.12/roll for the Scotts in the past Walgreen's deal. I'm going this morning to buy some other stuff and get a copy of the ad.

Just came back from CVS and tried to do the $10 ECB for $40 skincare purchase (e.g. Vichy, Avene, etc) and the ECB did not print!! CVS customer service is closed today (at least that's what the store manager said) so I'll have to wait until tomorrow to call it in. The deal is supposed to be ongoing until 12/22/07. Just a bit of a warning for everyone else who's planning on doing this deal. Will report back once I call CS tomorrow.

Just updated the Wiki to include the prices for the Oral B Toothbrushes as well as adding the link to the $10 Coupon (which I successfully used yesterday).

I had a 30% off F&F Coupon yesterday and some ECBs that were expiring. I wasn't looking to get more ECBs, just get things I wanted. So, here are my transactions:

1st (Okay, I was trying to get bucks on this one!)
6 Instant Energy Drinks & 1 M&M for filler

Used $3/$15, $2/$10, & $9.98 in ECB = Total OOP = $0.52
Received $24.95 Back

2nd Transaction:
M&M - Filler
Loreal Dermo Cream
(4) 10 Packs of CVS Batteries BOGOF
1 CVS Iron Slow Release Tablets
(2) Neutrogena Mineral Powders (BOGO 50% Off)
1 Oral B Pro 7400

Used $2/$10, $2/$10, $2 off CVS product, $3/$15, $4/$20, and $5 ECB, $10 ECB, $24.95 ECB, $29.99 ECB, $29.99 ECB & F&F gave me $27.00 off total.

Subtotal = $0.21 +Tax $0.82 = Total OOP $1.03

Received back $30.00 ECB (from toothbrush) and will be filling out the $20.00 rebate.....once I can locate a rebate form. Off I go to Target to look for one!

One more question: I thought that ECB are card specific. however, today i took in an ECB from card #1, and didnt have the card with me, so i gave my phone number (i think i put the same number down for both of my cards) and the ECB went through fine, however, when i got my receipt i noticed that the EC card number at the top was for my second card. It didnt match the EC card number on the ECB that i used.

So, who can explain this to me??

I did two orders right in a row today - my first time. The second order was for my "bosses' wife" and the store was very UNbusy or I wouldn't have done it. The way my coupons stacked, it made better sense to run two orders.

I just got the Pepsi products pictured - fridge packs and Doritos.

I did my second order to get the $5 back on $20 in prods and spent only $20.47 (someone had asked earlier what the closest total to $20 was on the 5EB/20). I got two diapers and one TP. I had no mfg coupons to use with those but the deals were so good and my store stacks that I did OK. For both orders about $6 (only pennies were OOP; rest were EB) and got about $81 worth of stuff and 22.50 EB. I will go back once this week.

Why don't you just do this:
4.99
4.99
4.99
2.99
2.99

Whatever $$/$$ you got
-.50 Tide
-/50 Tide
-.50 Tide
-? Charmin
-? Charmin
So this will minimize on the total ... HTH Your prices must be different than Southern California. Charmin is $2.49 in our ad.

Best deal to get closest to $20 here would be 3 Tide and 1 Duracell ($5.29 advertised) less coupons or 6 Charmin + 1 Duracell or any combo of Charmin and Tide that gets you to nearly $15 + 1 Duracell less coupons.

100 oz.Although the ad art shows that, that's no longer the size that Tide makes that CVS carries and that you'll find in the store. It was clearanced out months ago at the locations I shop at. It's now 1/2 that size.

I think they carry a 100 oz. Tide now, but it would replace the former 200 oz. size. I saw something on the shelf today for $11.99, but maybe it was a 75 oz. bottle. All of the smaller Tide's were marked with the sale price, so you wouldn't mistake one for another. I was shocked how many of those little bottles fit on a shelf now!

Did you get the $20 ECB??????????????/

I'm not sure I understand what you mean? I used them when I checked out (the cvs.com crt's) and many items generated ecbs, yes. HTH:)

It was at Wal Mart's request that all the manufactuers started making this new concentrated version. It's only water they took out.

They probably make a larger bottle than 100 oz. but my point was the ad art isn't correct and this bottle is no longer 100 oz. at CVS nor is it for that amount of loads.

There are still plenty of the old bottles (not concentrated) around here (West MI), but sounds like they won't be for too long.

Thanks!

You had the same ECB active on both cards. You just redeemed the ECB deal on card #2 , so now you'll have to use the ECB coupon for card #2 on card #1. Swap them. The deal should still be active on card #1.

I've read conflicting reports on Sierra Mist 2 liters being accepted as part of the Pepsi deal, but they didn't count for me. If I call CVS tomorrow is it likely they'll be able to help? I mean technically, it says any PepsiCo product and it is made by Pepsi..

FYI - someone was wondering about Quaker oatmeal. I bought some today (needed it anyways) and it did not show up on the receipt as counting toward the Pepsi deal.

For the $7.5 ecb with $15 PepciCo purchase, does anyone know which size(s) of the Gatorade count? I read somewhere that the 6-pkg didn't count.

I would call them. It counted towards it for me today. Are you sure you reached the $15 mark? This is what I got on that deal...

(4) 2L Sierra Mist $6.76
(1) 12pk Diet Sierra mist $3.34
(1) 12pk Pepsi $3.33
(1) Bag Doritos $3.00
Total $16.43
- $1.69 (b1g1 SM)
- $1.69 (b1g1 SM)
- $2.50 CRT
$10.55
-$10.00 ECBs
OOP .55
Then it printed out the $7.50 ECB HTH

Yep. The purchase was:
3 12 packs 3/10
4 2L at $1.69 though I did use 2 B1G1.
1 $1.39 Gatorade.

That puts me at over $17, actually. I sent my DH to do the shopping and since the trip did not got smoothly I don't think I'll be able to convince him to go for me again. :( I'm just wondering why it works for some and not for others and why the Sierra Mist 12 packs count but not the 2L on my purchase.
