Not bad. I'm always looking for good blade deals. Best one yet was a Big Lots find. They bought out a pharmacy and were half pricing everything. Bought 5 boxes of Gillette Mach 3 turbos and 4 boxes of regular Mach 3s for $41.... $1.13 a blade after taxes!

Haha, lifetime supply? If you're only alive for a year...

lol...yeah, it's a bit of exaggeration but also not. there are ways to extend the life of your blade. the main idea is to dry the blade after every use to prevent corrosion. some people actually blow dry them but i think a good towel dry is fine.

edit: & i do need to shave on a regular basis. do i? that's another question. i have a 5 o'clock shadow within a few hours of a fresh shave. & my hair is plenty manly. :-)

I believe the power allows the power from the razor to travel to the blades for an electric shave. :) You can use them for either the power or non powered version. Just like the mach 3 blades and razor.

The best deal ever on blades was back in 1998. A now defunct dot.com called more.com had a deal for a 4 pack of Mach3 razors for $1 delivered....for life, I proceeded to buy a pack a day for about 3 months (you could only purchase one a day)..what really was great, during the xmas holidays they sent them next day air as a special promotion. I ended up with 84 packs....I have 38 left...good for another 10 years or so.

They caught on after the holidays and oly allowed one purchase every month...More.com was out of business by 2000, ah the good ole days.

Why the hell would you put lifetime supply anyway?

Or, buy 11 four-packs and then pad the total with some of the 50%-off candy.

Gillette Fusion four-packs x 11 = 78.54
CVS peppermint starlites x 2 = 1.50

Subtotal: $80.04
Tax: $5.60
Shipping & handling: FREE
e-Coupon: ($21.40)

Nonprescription total: $64.24

That calculates to ($64.24 - 1.50) / 44 = $1.43 per blade + $1.50 worth of candy.

I admit I haven't read the thread, but read the beginning of the article at the start of the thread, which talks about extending the life of your razor blades.

A few years back, I saw a story on a local news channel about a product called Razor Guard. It's an oil. I picked some up to try it. I love it! Works great for me. I used to get three shaves out of a razor (about a week's worth of shaving). Now I get about 9-12 shaves. I usually go about a month between changing razors.

I'm not linking to the company. I don't work for them. The only benefit I get for mentioning it, is the hope that enough of you will buy it to keep them in business. I love the stuff - it works wonders on the skin, too.

They're out of stock now...damn it. I used to buy them at $2 a blade from ebay so this is a good deal, or was...

That's around what they are at Sams Club. I was going to buy a bag next time I went.

Awesome deal here instead!

i get about 3 weeks out of one blade, shave every other day. i hear that rubbing alcohol or drying the blade will extend the life, but i havent seen much of a difference.

People are getting so ripped off with these overpriced blades.

not so. These blades work so well its not funny. Used to use cheap biks, then went to mach 3. was in love with those for quite awhile, then tried turbos, didnt like them. got a pack of fusion and will NEVER go back. there is a world of difference. one blade lasts me about 1 month and i shave every other day. so this would have been a 4 year supply!!!

They are amazing as stated before... will never go back either. Definately need to try them out but you'll be stuck with paying $2-4 a blade for the near future.

yes but you're more likely to get fake blades from feebay than CVS. peace of mind is worth it to me.

fake blades? what the hell are you talking about? if someone could replicate these blades to any degree cost-effectively, they would sell them in stores for slightly cheaper than gillette and make millions, not make like 4 cents per blade like the ebay sellers do.

is oos implying expired? I guess that is the only indicator we have but it is not expired..

plus the e coupon is still valid

Would have loved to get in on this one! By the way, I use my blades until the cost of Band-Aids outweighs the cost of the new blade! Really though, I get at least a month out of them. Maybe because I shave in the shower and shave every day it keeps them sharp. If anyone notices this deal goes back up I'd appreciate a holler! Big rep to OP!!!
