posting this since I've seen questions about it and had some myself. Posting it here since there will be an ECB deal for it and it's a bit late for this week..
From the BzzGuide for it, here are instructions on how to make a photo book.
in case it's too tough to read the image types - it's jpg, bmp, and tif
I usually have a tougher time taking pics of text but this was taken with the Kodak camera from the 3 day sale deal, set to text mode.
I haven't made a photo book yet but I'm looking forward to it.

Don't know about where you all live, but our Walmart has the Tooth Tunes for $7.99 regular price, so $9.99 at CVS isn't a great deal. I was going to buy one when they had the $2 ECBs for them week or so ago, but then saw them at Wallyworld and decided not to bother.

Walmart doesn't have $/$$ coupons or accept ECBs either. I'd rather spend $9.99 ECBs than pay $7.99 of real money anyday!

For those in SoCal (or those who have the Glucerna Cereal Promotion in their ad):
The $4.59 ECB back on the Glucerna Cereal is back for this week also with the same limit of 3.
Be careful -- this may be CVS recycling this monthly deal in the weekly ads. Watch for any signs that suggest this is a hidden monthly deal in your store and/or check to see if your receipts reset on Sunday Morning on 12/9.
You don't want to buy 3 during the week of 12/2 to 12/8 and then buy 3 more on 12/9 and go :sadwalk: because it turns out this was a monthly deal instead of 2 separate weekly promotions.
The Discussion thread for this week has been set up, it's HERE (http://forums.slickdeals.net/showthread.php?sduid=59052&t=674955)
Here's the rest...
There are two CVS threads for each weekly ad. So, how do you know what to put where?
- Anything that everyone needs to know should go in the Ad/Deals thread (prices, coupons, what worked that shouldn't have, what didn't work that should have). The Wiki post (always the 2nd post in a thread) is updated constantly by users just like you!
- Ask yourself: "Does someone who is checking this thread via dialup before going to CVS really need to know this information?" If not, put it in the Discussion thread!
- Other stuff like questions, scenarios, what you plan to buy, what you bought, how great the deals are, how bad the deals are, chat where you're getting to know other SD CVS'ers etc, should all go in the discussion thread for each week.
Keeping track of all the CVS threads:
Subscribe to the threads you want to keep track of. (See links below)
To subscribe to a thread when you're already in the thread:
- go to the top of the page
- click on Thread Tools on the upper right hand side
- click Subscribe to this thread
To see the threads you've subscribed to, click "User CP". It's at the top of every page on the left. Any of your subscribed threads that have new posts will show in the center of the page. You can also click “View all subscribed threads” to see all threads, whether they have new posts or not.
(You can also 'sticky' every CVS thread to the top (also under Thread Tools), so if you go into Hot Deals or Deal Talk or Coupons you see all CVS threads at the top of the page.)
NEW: Too many pages in your CVS threads?
You can change your settings to show more posts per page, with the maximum being 40 posts per page. (This lets you scroll down more without having to keep hitting 'next page')
Go to “User CP”
Click on “Edit Options”
Scroll down until you see "Use this option to set the number of posts to show in a thread before splitting the display into multiple pages."
You'll see a drop down box where you can select the Number of Posts to Show Per Page.
If you make a change be sure to scroll down to the bottom and click on “Save Changes”

You don't want to buy 3 during the week of 12/2 to 12/8 and then buy 3 more on 12/9 and go :sadwalk: because it turns out this was a monthly deal instead of 2 separate weekly promotions.
do you think maybe the fusion razor at 9.99 with 6 ecb's back may also be a hidden monthly deal - it is limt 1 and also in the ad for 12/2 - 12/8. it is a good deal with the $4 off q's from the 12/2 p&g insert. not too confident the turbo town deal will reset either - that one may be like the mini monitor deal that never reset from september to october.
from what i've been told, that glucerna cereal is good for old people. really old people. i think it was schnauzermomma that said it has special ingredients that can make grannies look 'hot'.

Sadly to say, I think your right that the fusion razor might be a hidden monthly deal, thus if you try to do it this week, and did the offer last week, you might be going :sadwalk: also.

Guess you don't really understand the power of the ecb program.
You could have used a $2/$10 coupon (scans and I've never had a cashier deny me the use of this coupon on 9.99 plus tax). The $2 comes off pre-tax so right there you have a total equal to walmart and they give no ecbs.
Then you WOULD have gotten back $2 ecb. So what? What is the value of that $2 ecb? Well....... read on!
You could then use that to buy something else. If you can't find anything, use it to buy the robitussin with another $2/$10 coupon and two $3 printables. That gets you the robitussin for nearly free (pay a little bit in tax on the $6 in coupons) and you now have $4 ecbs.
Use the $4 ecb on the fusion razor with the $4 coupon from yesterday's pg ad and get the razor for nearly free (tax on the $4 manu coupon). NOW you WOULD have a $6 ecb.
You could roll that up or just cash in your $6. If you have $10 worth of stuff you can get it for $2 by using another $2/$10 and your $6 ecb.
SO.......... you went to walmart. Paid tax on the entire $7.99 and got one toothbrush. Good for you.
BUT a cvs slick dealer would have gotten the toothbrush, two robitussins, one gillette fusion razor (with either a battery that fits in your mp3 player or another cartridge) and still had $6 to spend (I've bought milk, eggs, etc. You could have gotten AT LEAST two gallons of milk, eggs and a candy bar for a couple bucks with another $2/$10 and two bucks in cash).
Which do YOU think is a better deal? Um........... tough call.

At the CVS where I work the photo ID kits are actually by the pharmacy counter. We have an information rack with all kinds of free magazines and books which also have great CVS coupons in them.

At the risk of sounding stupid....What is National Selma Week?"
selma finds lots of great deals, but mixed in with them are a lot of post first, check for reposts never deals. thus a lot of good/bad stuff that has been posted that hour, that day, or two weeks ago gets posted again.
and this week seems to be a lot of retread deals from last week or from the monthly deals for cvs.

above is not possible, is it? that is about $60 less than they normally charge...
It is a typo. :sadwalk:
The price is $69.99 (page 11 of the ad)
I corrected this in my earlier post. Sorry for the mistake...I didn't have time to double check my typing before I posted yesterday.

No problems at all. Would of been nice if it were $9.99 -- but then that wouldn't be in the spirit of this week. :)

Here is the coupon for the Robutussin.
I hate doing this to new users -- but it must be done... sorry... Your post has been mod alerted.
The coupon has the security code: 17723714
Remember, the retailer will only be reimbursed by the manufacturer only once for this security code. If the manufacturer sees this same security code trying to be redeemed by the retailer, the manufacturer will not reimburse the retailer for that coupon (with the same security code), which means the retailer loses $$$ and everybody loses. :(
In the future, please do not make *.PDF's of coupons like this that have unique security codes. This will lead to all of us not being able to use Internet Printable Manufacturer coupons in the future.

Okay. Maybe I should know this by now. Are the peelies not manu coupons? Or are they CVS coupons and that is why you are using them with the manu coupons. I know there were some peelies on the tylenol and I didn't use them because I thought they were manu coupons. I used the $5 coupons instead but some were talking about these peelies and saying they used them as well.

I do know the peelies are often manufacturer coupons. I believe some of these peelies scan through without any problems even if you use another manufacturer coupon.
Keep in mind, when using a manufactuer coupon -- the register knows you are trying to use 2 manufacturer coupon's per item and will beep if you try to do so.
What this means is that the manufacturer may be allowing you to use the peelie in addition to the manufacturer coupon from the inserts. It all depends on the manufacturer and if the register will accept it. (Afterall, the peelie is there so that they can move the product a lot faster off the shelf).
Of course peelies can be used with CVS coupons -- as it is always 1 CVS coupon + 1 manufacturer coupon per item that qualifies.
So my thought is, if the peelie + 2nd manufacturer scans -- fine and the store will be reimbursed.
If the peelie and/or manufacturer coupon beeps, then they don't want you using both on the same item, and you should pull the coupon back that is beeping -- otherwise the store will lose $$$ on the coupon that beeps.

Only if you are using the different types of energizer printables (hearing aid, lithium, and max) and are buying these different types of energizer batteries. This is because each one has a separate code.
If you are trying to use multiple energizer printables of the same type (i.e. 2 of the max printables) -- it won't happen, because a CVS coupon with the same code cannot be used twice in one transaction. The 2nd printable in this situation will BEEP.
So it is a limit of 1 per transaction per each energizer printable. In other words, if you want to use 2 energizer max printables, you will have to make 2 separate transactions.
Also doing two separate transaction back to back is dangerous because the computer often is slow updating your total towards the $5 ECB. Often it is recommended to wait at least 2 hours between transactions for the master server in RI to catch up and total up everything correctly. Otherwise, your $5 ECB may never print!

Well at least it seems a bit strange and embarassing!
I see people post about getting overages even with the bigger q's like Nova max and contour. How do you "plan" for an overage??
I don't want to have a lot of stuff and then have them adjust the Q and then I have to pay oop but I don't want to not have things and then have them realize the Q needed to be adjusted. Does that make sense?

If you can't afford to pay the OOP, you must be ready with ECB's if the overage/coupon is denied, or be willing to ask them to take something off of your purchase.

If it were me, and I wanted to use those coupons, I would explain what had happened to the SS and ask that I be allowed to use them. I think that they would have no problem pushing them through if they understood what had happened.
Otherwise.
If you get the same CRT's on your card, you should use the other ones first, they will not beep. The ones that were issued to your card will beep, then when you try to use them, but will be put in, since they do match your card.

My store "turned on" tomorrow's prices today, so all the Russell Stover boxed candies were BOGO this afternoon. My manager said if the register would take the "BOGO" coupon she didn't have a problem with it. Took it just fine. Of course, like any BOGO, she had to enter an amount. That was the only "beep" that occurred. But they didn't have to push anything through. Just entered an amount. Got 4 boxes of chocolates for free. Going back tomorrow with the rest of my Qs.

I just got back from CVS (late Sat. night) & I was trying to finish up my $7.50 ecb "pepsi" deal for the current week, but the new weekly ads had already been switched over to the Dec. 9-15 ones. I even asked at the counter before I made the purchase if the current weekly deals were still in effect & was told yes.
I've never called corporate before, but can I do this and have them apply my purchases to the current week's deals where they should really be? I bought 2 dorritos which should have been 2/$6, but they eneded up b1g1 so I'm a little worried that their amount is now below the $5.01 which I needed to complete the deal.
I tried searching about calling corporate, but didn't have much luck. Can I do this, and do I need to wait a couple days?
Thanks!

I didn't know this. I wish I had, and I wouldn't have wasted money on the coupons. I guess I will try to use them anyways. If it works it works. If not oh well.
I have reviewed the Russell Stover q in detail with store managers at three different stores. Two of them are adament they have no maximum value and are worded such that they're confident in taking them for the boxes as well as the bags. The third store manager is positive he can't take them for the boxes. So this is YMMV. I asked first, and where they said it was fine, I used them.
The key, with all things CVS, is having patience and accepting that there are some things, such as this, that you have to accept their decision on. I can see the point in their refusing them, and can see their point in accepting them.

Can someone please explain what the 5$ Energizer coupon is ? Is it found in store or a printable ? TIA.The Energizer Max CVS $5 Off printable coupon can be found in this single post http://forums.slickdeals.net/showpost.php?p=9025326&postcount=1742
I used it this evening along with a $1/1 manufactuer coupon that can be found in the 10/7 SS, 11/18 SS and 12/9 SS. I made .71 overage on this part of my order tonight.
I'm going to do this 3x over 3 days to get the $5 ECB back. It will be a net gain of at least $7.73 since the CVS $5 coupon takes off most of the tax and I'm stacking it with $/$$ coupons in my orders plus three packages of free batteries per CVS ExtraCare card.
The CVS/Energizer coupon scanned fine on a low inkjet setting. Very nice to see CVS add the bar codes to their coupons

Even though the CVS tissues are on sale for .99, the coupon is still giving $1.15 off.

In case it hasn't already been reported - the Merry Moose that shows $4.99 with purchase of 3 greeting cards rings up 4.99 without buying the cards. I purchased 3 of them the other day and they all rang up 4.99....

Newbie here. I've been reading for months now but finally have some info that may be helpfull that hasn't been said a dozen times already.
Thanks!
H.
This happened to me last week when toothpaste was $2.99 with $2.00ECB. The new ad had the toothpaste on sale for $2.50 with no ECB.On Saturday eve both ads are active in the cash resgister. The "better deal" of the two sales will overide the other.(since $2.50 is a better deal than $2.99- the cash register doesn't take into account ECB deals so it rang up as $2.50). The manager noticed that I was buying the toothpaste when I was in line and told the cashier to ring in a $2 store coupon for the toothpaste to compensate for the ECB that wasn't going to print. He said there was no way for him to fix it in the computer, he already tried.
You should still be able to get Satudays advertized deal on Saturday but in cases when the new Sunday's ad is better you will need manager intervention.

Thanks. will try this..

Was this the power version with battery you got with ECBS, or the regular version? :) Thanks!

Did you buy the power version with battery or regular version? Trying to figure out if one of those maybe isn't working this week. I think both versions were working this past week.

Well, at least the Fusion deal is a separate deal. I just wish I had done this on all of my cards. I was worried it was a "hidden monthly deal" and kept a couple of cards back just in case.
Now I am :headbang: over this.

I figure most ppl stop reading the past weeks' thread so i am posting my question in here.
Last night i bought 13.60 worth of pepsi products, thinking one thing i was buying was pepsi, so when i left the store i realized and i ran back in to get another bottle of pepsi, but on the bottom of the new receipt the amount towards the pepsi deal had reset, and said 1.69. Dont these deals usually add up all week, and not per transaction? it was before 12:00 so that wasnt it.
Any ideas??

$5.29 x 3 4pack Energizer Titanium
$15.87
minus
$2 x 3 $2 cvs peelies on battery pack
$2 x 3 $2 energizer coupons (purchased these off ebay a month ago)
$5 x 1 $5 CVS energizer printable coupon
- $17 with $5 ECB.
since the coupon total is less than the actual price, you'll need to have other stuff
