Good deal. Now only if the cartridges were free!

The cartridges are pricey, you can always use your ECB money towards them I guess. The Novamax deal is still going on until the 8th. Get in on that and you will get a$20 ECB to use on cartridges! Lots of ways to get those things for free at CVS. Don't EVER buy them!!

So wait until late Sunday night, then go to a gas station/walmart/cvs and rummage around in the pile of remaining mangled papers for the inserts.

Scan the newspaper insert coupon? :nono1: That is a huge no-no. Sorry. You could try doing what the above poster suggested and getting a paper that way.

Same deal at RITE-AID, but at RA you actually get your money back by check, NOT ECBs.

But it's well worth the $1.75, cause there are way more coupons than just that one.
what is the novamax deal?
It's a deal that has been going on at CVS for a while now that involves getting a $50 coupon out of one of the books at the pharmacy, applying to the NovaMax blood glucose monitor that is on sale, and getting $20 extra care bucks back. The thread is labeled "$20 ECB free, Nothing out of pocket!" here on SD.
What is ECB?
Extra-care bucks. They are used like gift cards at CVS, and only valid at CVS. You earn them by buying products offering them each week/month. There are several threads here that explain all of this and more, just search the forums for CVS

Thanks for the post, op. Local paper was $1.50 - which I used toward my total purchase of $20. CVS coupon for $4 off $20 was then applied. :)

That's why you just work the cost of the paper into your normal ECBs deal and let CVS buy the paper for you!

i always cringe when i hear of people moaning about high-priced catridges. Over the past year, CVS, Riteaid, Walgreens have had countless offers that essentially had you paying zilch for razors. Each manual razor package contains 2 catridges (as opposed to the power razr). To date, i have about 25 handles and 50 catridges free.
i'm 25 handles away from finishing construction on my house of razors.

CVS has the Gillette Fusion Razor (regular, power or phantom)
for $9.99 with $6 ECB (limit 1) this week
Make it FREE with $4 mfr. coupon in the paper.
you can check the CVS website (http://slickdeals.net/?sduid=78191&t=677552&u2=http://www.cvs.com/CVSApp/cvs/gateway/extracarehome) for information about ECB
The $4.00 coupon was in the 12/2 Proctor & Gamble newspaper insert

For those that need cartridges, the manual cartridges work on the power handles. Saves a little on the cost....not much, but a little.
