**UPDATE** NOT AUTHENTIC Dale and Thomas Popcorn for 7.99+$20GC at Walgreens

UPDATE: I finally opened the box of popcorn I had bought from walgreens today and REALIZED IT'S NOT DALE AND THOMAS. It's actually Popcorn Indiana, which on the bag is distributed by Dale and Thomas and the Kettle corn is "inspired" by Dale and Thomas. I purchased the one like the one posted in the picture listed i post #5. You only get one sampler bag of authentic Dale and Thomas popcorn. I tried and it and although I can't tell a difference between the two, I wanted to share this update because I originally posted it being Dale and Thomas popcorn and it's not I didn't want to advertise a fake deal. Sorry for the trouble.


I was at my Walgreens today and got a Dale and Thomas Kettle Corn Gift set for $7.99. I remember ppl buying this a while back. The gift set includes a $20GC which could only be used on line I believe. This might be good for those who ordered back when they had the Free S&H code and got addicted but don't want to pay the ridiculous price. This also makes a nice gift for X-mas too.

Gift Set Includes:
1- 1.25oz Movie Theater Popcorn
3- 4oz Kettle Corn (the bag is bigger than the sample one)
1- 5.25oz Butter Toffee & Walnut Crunch or Sweet Georgia Pecan (this is the sample size)
1- Popcorn bowl
1- $20GC

Look carefully at the ad for this..... It says the box for the movie popcorn is 12 oz, but for the kettlecorn it's 24 oz..... There is NO SUCH THING as a 24 oz kettlecorn box. So, my store substituted TWO of the 12 oz. kettlecorn ones. Ask nicely and yea shall receive....:nod:

(p.s. another store only discounted the 12 oz. kettlecorn ones for me to $5 each, from the $7.99 ad price, so it's totally up to the discretion of the manager. :nod:
Don't upset him, though, or you may get a rain check for the 24 oz box. They don't exist, so you'll be holding that rain check FOREVER....:lol: )

This is a link to the picture that someone posted on other thread. This a for the one that OP described above. WG also has another box in gray color (Theater movie popcorn), but the red color is better IMO.

You may want to take a look at the highest level of the shelf where the cookie tins are located. You also need help of WG employee to get it for you since they don't want those gift card get lost. Good luck finding it. I got 5 of these last Sep, when it was 9.99. Now OP said 7.99, I may need to buy more. I am addicted to those ketle corn.

I found it on the top shelf also and needed a ladder to get the kettle corn one down (my personal choice as well) It was in the aisle where the snack foods are... above the cans of planters peanuts in my case. Good luck! My store only had about 6, total.

This deal is also available at Linens n' Things BM for 9.99 less the 20% coupon =same price. They also have LARGE (don't know exact ounces but more than 16) bags of single flavors for the same price. Mine had Cheddar Kettle and Butter. Look for the red boxes and bags at the front of the store close to the registers.

The gift card is really one of those $20 gift card "coupons".. (You can get one of those for free.. every couple weeks, there is a signup where you can get a code without buying anything)..
Oh, they don't call it a "coupon".. but that's what it is..
The code starts with a "z".. and cannot be combined with other $20 gift card "coupons"..

(yes, I fell for this a few weeks ago.. I bought it for $9.99 at Walgreens, and I was actually expecting a regular gift card :doh: {I mean, Dale&Thomas does sell the regular, non-coupon ones})

If you want the GC coupon, just put it on your deal alerts.. and get a free one the next time someone posts a link on SD.. then, save it until Dale & Thomas puts out another free shipping code (cheapest item is $28 + $7.95 shipping)..

Just got back from Walgreen's, As stated these things are stored on top shelf, you need to get someone with a ladder to get to it. They had about 2 dozen at my WG. I pointed out the discrepancy in ad 24 vs 12 ounce, and talked mgr into giving me to 2/7.99 with very little hassle. Not necessarily a hot deal, but nevertheless good deal for overpriced popcorn.
