CVS Ad/Deals thread for the week of 10/7-10/13 is HERE (http://forums.slickdeals.net/showthread.php?sduid=59052&t=614717)

There are two CVS threads for each weekly ad. So, how do you know what to put where?
- Anything that everyone needs to know should go in the Ad/Deals thread (prices, coupons, what worked that shouldn't have, what didn't work that should have). The Wiki post (always the 2nd post in a thread) is updated constantly by users just like you!

- Ask yourself: "Does someone who is checking this thread via dialup before going to CVS really need to know this information?" If not, put it in the Discussion thread!

- Other stuff like questions, scenarios, what you plan to buy, what you bought, how great the deals are, how bad the deals are, chat where you're getting to know other SD CVS'ers etc, should all go in the discussion thread for each week.

Keeping track of all the CVS threads:
Subscribe to the threads you want to keep track of. (See links below)

To subscribe to a thread when you're already in the thread:
- go to the top of the page
- click on Thread Tools on the upper right hand side
- click Subscribe to this thread

To see the threads you've subscribed to, click "User CP". It's at the top of every page on the left. Any of your subscribed threads that have new posts will show in the center of the page. You can also click “View all subscribed threads” to see all threads, whether they have new posts or not.

(You can also 'sticky' every CVS thread to the top (also under Thread Tools), so if you go into Hot Deals or Deal Talk or Coupons you see all CVS threads at the top of the page.)

NEW: Too many pages in your CVS threads?
You can change your settings to show more posts per page, with the maximum being 40 posts per page. (This lets you scroll down more without having to keep hitting 'next page')

Go to “User CP”
Click on “Edit Options”
Scroll down until you see "Use this option to set the number of posts to show in a thread before splitting the display into multiple pages."
You'll see a drop down box where you can select the Number of Posts to Show Per Page.
If you make a change be sure to scroll down to the bottom and click on “Save Changes”

All I have to say is that I am a CVS JUNKIE. I go to bed thinking about CVS and when I wake up the first thing I do is check the CVS threads. In the past I was only buying the things that I needed/used. CVS, NOT ANYMORE! If I have a manufacture coupon and I can earn ECB’s I’m getting it. The way I see it someone in my family will need/use it.

I worked up a couple of different scenarios for the October/Current week deals. Let me know what you think. My goal is to get back as much ECB’s as possible.

Playtex @ 4.99
Playtex @ 4.99
Playtex @ 4.99
Playtex @ 4.99
Clossys Rinse @ 3.99
Crest Prohealth @ 3.29

Total $ 27.24
Minus 4/20
Minus Q’s $ 13.50

OOP $ 9.74

Earned ECB’s 18.29

As far as Manufacture coupons, I am using $ 2.50 off of Playtex, $ 2.00 off of Clossys Rinse and $ 1.50 off of Crest Prohealth. All of these coupons were found here in the Wiki, except for the Crest Prohealth which was in this past weeks P&G insert.

I might be wrong but I think the Playtex has a limit of one per card.

Placed this in deals but I'll add it here too! There is a .40 off printable on palmolive here

http://offers.e-centives.com/siflo/reg/survey.cfm?s=Yz0xJmY9MSZjdT0xJmJxPTEmdmlkPTUwNSZvP TE4MTUyMjMmcD0xODE3MDk1JnB0PTEmY289NDA5JmZ3ZWI9MSZ zYz0zMjcmclVSTD0lMkZzaWZsbyUyRnBvc3RyZWdpc3RlciUyR WNmbSUzRnZpZCUzRDUwNSUyNnQlM0QxJTI2cyUzRDMyNTkyMzc 4JTI2bWIlM0Q1MTk1JTI2ZndlYiUzRDElMjZjbyUzRDQwOSUyN nNjJTNEMzI3JTI2aWQlM0RmODJhNGI3YyUyRGZkMjglMkQ0M2Y 0JTJEYjBkMSUyRDQ2ZTE5ZmNkZDVjYSZzPTMyNTkyMzc4Jm1iP TUxOTUmaWQ9ZjgyYTRiN2MtZmQyOC00M2Y0LWIwZDEtNDZlMTl mY2RkNWNh

The math is $1.49
- .40 coupon
- $1 you receive back in ECB
----------------------
.09 each

P.S I was able to print 2

TreeSmith
10-04-2007, 07:36 AM
2 Pro-Healths = 6.58
2 soft lotions = 10.98
2 Energizers = 10.58
1 playtex tampon = 4.99
3 pks straws (filler) = 3.00

Total = 36.13
less 4/20
less 16.50 q's

Total = 15.63
less $15 ECB

Total = .63 OOP
New ECB = 18.58

Of course, this all depends on the ad for my area, but I'm sure it'll be close! Coupons used will be 2 for $1 off prohealth, 2 for $4 off soft lotion, 2 for $2 off energizers, and 1 for $2.50 off tampons.

This is my plan:

3 toothpaste at 8.97
-3.00 in MFG

1 platex sport
-2.50 MFG

3 palmolives
-1.20 in MFG

1 beano
-1.00 MFG

-4.00 off 20 CVS coupon
Will cost 10.72 -10.58 in ECBS that I have = .14 cents
And I will get 14.99 in ECB's back.

Okay everyone...I've been trying to work out these coupons (I'm new at this, so it's taking awhile) and I keep seeing the coupons in blue -the CVS ones--however, I can't find any of those. I went to the store today and looked around and only found one mail-in rebate and a couple of tear offs for Aleve and CVS brand tissues. Could someone give me a heads up on this?? THanks!!! By the way, I love this group of CVS'ers.

Which Qs are you looking for specifically? There are a couple of different types of qs so you have to make sure you are looking for one that can be found in store versus a CRT (the ones that print at the bottom of your receipt) from mailings that go out to certain customers (I guess based on what you buy) or something like that. I'm in OH too so depending on where you are I may be able to tell you which stores have qs in them. HTH

lol I forgot that CVS Qs are in blue on the deals thread...I was thinking of the coupons I just found that are on blue paper :)

So yeah, ditto what Treyjaylee said--there are quite a few different types of CVS Qs--some that print on your receipt and some in the store.

I live in Indiana. I'm not looking for anything specifically. Just trying to figure out how everything works. I've just seen several posts about tear-pads and I thought I'd look around to see if there are any in our store. I think today I saw one mentioned about Jergens (maybe) but I looked about everywere today and I found next to nothing. Also, the coupons some mention around the pharmacy. (like 10 off 20) I found nothing there either. My goal --- to get my OOP down to under a dollar. I'll be hooting and hollering!! :)

And while I'm at it, I've seen people post about spending their ECB's because they don't see anything for the next week or so. I guess I'm just wondering if people spend all their ECB's in that case and start all over the following week or what. I do realize that the ECB's expire on certain dates. I guess that's what most people would be doing. I just thought it would be better to keep the ECB's rolling. What do you think??

I know one I saw that I defintely couldn't find. The Renu Multiplus travel kit. It showed on the post as being a CVS coupon for $2.00. Maybe my store just doesn't have them. ???

You're right, it's definitely best to get ECB's rolling, however, some super CVSers (Schnauzermomma and edlind come to mind) end up with hundreds of dollars of ECB's expiring in one week and they have to use them before the expiration.

Also, some people spend ECB's as a "reward" to themselves--splurge on something they wouldn't normally spend money on.

Some also spend ECB's on life's necessities (diapers, formula, etc) that are normally expensive in order to save on the budget.

Also, sometimes the deals (and coupons) may work out such that you might have to spend more ECB's than you'll earn in a transaction. (This happens to me too much because I'm not very good at planning my trips ahead of time).

I hope these answers help!

Hmm.... :confuse3: I've never seen a 10 off 20 coupon. As far as I know the only coupons around the pharmacy are $2 off $10. There are email qs (expired right now) that people refer to but those are $4/20 $5/30 and (i think 15/75). Are you maybe referring to some of the extrabuck deals? There are alot of promotions right now where you buy $20 and get $10 back in ECB

I'm sure they have them. Go to where the contacts solution are. They're in there mixed in. I saw it once. I want to get them because I travel (not as often as I would want to). Although I don't like Renu but it still sounds nice. A little travel kit. :)

I did receive a CRT on Renu. I hope I can use it on the travel kit.

This is my plan of attack:

Playtex $4.99
- $2 CRT
- $2.50 Printable
$3 ECB

Renu $2.49 x 2 = $5
- $2 CRT (1 only have 1)
$5 ECB

Johnson's Lotion
$5.49
-$4 printable
$2.00 ECB

Scott Tissue
$5.49
-$2 printable

Total of $21.00 - $4off$20 = $17
$17- 12.50 in CRT & q's = $4.50
Get back $10 ECB

Profit of $5.50 on things I actually need!

The only glitch may be that it was reported on the deals thread that the Johnson's lotion q is only printing at a $1 now. If that is the case, I may substitute in Palmolive and Crest Pro Health.

The high-rollers (Ed, Miranda, GarnierMoney, et al) are talking about spending ecb's that expire 1 week from now during the current week if they don't like the sales for next week. They certainly roll their bucks (i.e. don't spend them all) unless they are wanting to close out a card (yes, they have numerous cards). While there may (or may no) be free things next week, after a while there are some things you just don't want/need anymore. For example, I have enough toothpaste to last a pro football team 3 or 4 seasons and I've only been CVSing since March!

I know one I saw that I defintely couldn't find. The Renu Multiplus travel kit. It showed on the post as being a CVS coupon for $2.00. Maybe my store just doesn't have them. ???

The $2.oo Renu coupon is actually a CRT (cash register tape) coupon. These are found on the bottom of your receipts...below the ecb's you earn. Everyone does not get the same CRTs and to date we haven't been able to figure out what generates a specific CRT to be printed to you.

I live in N KY and i have never seen a tear pad anywhere. I've looked in 4 stores back by the pharmacy, at the front counter, at the picture counter - nothing! It seems like the stores around me don't have alot of things mentioned in the threads. Someone mentioned a robe somewhere and I've never seen a robe. My stores don't have much pet food either. Oh well, still love CVSing though.

Hi Everyone,

I remember reading a while back about someone wishing there were more mens items available as part of these CVS deals, particularly for donations, etc..

Anyway, yesterday I saw little LUMENE for Men travel kits for $4.99. There were 3 tubes of stuff in it. I think a cleanser, lotion and something else. Sorry, can't remember exactly because I was in a hurry, but I do remember thinking that using the $2 off Q on ANY Lumene (and the "B1 G1 for 50% from last week") it could be nice for donations or stocking stuffers. Even without the sale from last week, it could work for some of you who are looking for man items. They were located in the area with the lotions. The ones I saw were in a long black verticle cardboard holder hanging on a "string" attached to the shelf (what do you call that?). The little kits came out of the bottom. Has anyone bought one of these before?

Thanks for the link. I was only able to print one, but that's better than none. Also when I went to home (Colgate), there was an offer for a $3 rebate for Colgate Total and Listerine.
I know many of us "bought" a lot of free Colgate Total during September, and this rebate period begins Sept.1, so if you have your receipts for the Colgate, just get some Listerine before Oct.27 and you have $3. I don't know how to put a link on here, but just do what I did as explained above. Hope this helps. I am new to this, and have gotten so much advice I hope this is something new and not already posted somewhere else!!

I want to thank all of you for your advice and insights, new to cvsing, old to couponing and a special thanks to those that put their state in their profile so it shows here...helps when reading discussions on clearance items/sales
todays shopping trip
$94. gross
$72. after sales prices adjusted
$24.00 ecb
$.55 paid with money card
actually had another coupon but didn't want to go negative with the line in back of me
and
got back $24.99 in new ecbs, plus all the STUFF I dragged home
and $10. in rebates to do from this one
now if I could only figure out how to make original sales receipts since it all has to be on one receipt to use the cvs coupons and our large ecbs

just out of curiosity, anyone doing in advil maximum strength for free AR? i read somewhere in the forums about this being a YMMV because if some issues with the FDA...

FDA did not approve advil max, so no stores in the US will have the advil max, making the rebate useless. HTH

If the FDA does approve Advil Max (I am not sure if they will later on), we can save the rebates. We have until 12/31/07.

it is a rebate form for beano, gaviscon, phazme or tagamet
gee beano...why do I remember that one? as it falls out of this weeks shopping loot

a friend of mine is watching me bring all this stuff home and tried explaining it to her and what she said to me was that when cvs goes broke in 5 years she will be able to blame it on me for taking advantage of the free stuff and getting paid to walk out of their store with stuff, really how many places can you walk out with more money than you walked in with (even though it is cvs money)

My plan.......changed b/c I can't find the c/o's I wanted :(

Palmolive 1.49
Colgate Total Adv. x 3 8.97
Crest Pro Health t.p. 3.29
Renu kit x 2 4.98
Playtex 4.99
Clearance chips .39
24.11

c/o's
4/20 4/20
Printable Palmolive .40
colgate printable $1.50 , $1.50 in man c/o's
printable playtex $2.50
Crest $1

It should be $9.21 in EBs needed but I will be getting back $18.27 EB's. I have to do small deals to work my way back into CVS as I let all my EBs expire and my manager is standing firm on not letting me use them.....I only have one ( $10 ) that isn't expired so this should be just about right!

(if I manage to find the Crest or Renu c/o's then it will come out ahead, but right now I am happy just to rotate EBs!)

I just came back from doing most of the deals I wanted for the week. My store switches over on Sat night, and I waited till 9 just to be sure. As I was checking out, the 2 cashiers were talking about the coupon people that come in, and how they're so jealous because they don't know how we do it. As she's talking, she's scanning away at my coupons, and I come out -$2.58 (had put a $10 ecb up front). So I grabbed candy bars and just had to pay a few cents to even out. I got back $46 in ecb.

A few notes 1) the ecb are still not printing for Essence of Beauty, but I'm not calling or even mentioning it to anyone!

2) The $.75 printable Palmolive coupons scanned just fine.

3) The $3 coupon for Listerine White Strips scans for the mouthwash. This was purely accidental as it was stuck on the back of another coupon, but I noticed after she'd scanned it.

4) All of the 9/23 $/$$ still worked.

okay, thanks for answering my questions. I'll try again this next week.

Where in Indiana are you? I've been looking for the $2/$10 coupons since they were first posted and only just found them in a few stores. I'm in Indianapolis and the store in Speedway had them behind the pharmacy counter. I didn't know until I bought some Advil. I think they may have just received them. I was in a couple other stores yesterday and they had STACKS of them out in the open. Needless to say I grabbed quite a few.

Its $3 for 2 and use $1/2 and .75/2 on the two cans and they both will scan. Comes out to approx 63 cents each... Pretty snazzy since I can use ecb instead of cash on somthing I already wouldve got.

Can someone tell me the best place to post about trading Qs? I know there's a coupon area, but figured CVS-specific boards might be a better place. I have a whole bunch of those $2 off Lumene Qs and would really like some Eucerin Qs. I tried emailing them and they emailed me back, but didn't mention anything about sending Qs. :(

Oh, and for the first time, I'm ready for tomorrow's morning run(s?) tonight. Woohoo! I've developed a whole new envelope system where I'm keeping Qs for the monthly deals and the week's deals separate and if I find the Qs for a future week, I can go ahead and put them in there. So my envelope is all ready to go--once I check my flyer and the inserts for tomorrow, just in case :)

I just read on HCW that the Pledge Duster kits are $2.99 so free with $3 coupon. By kits, I'm assuming that means the starter kit and not the refill, but who knows? It's not listed with the other Pledge stuff on sale this week in the ad, so this is probably a YMMV (so is everything else to do with CVS!)

Hi Bimmer: Just make copies of the receipts and send a note with each rebate--unless you can get those old "substitute receipt" forms from CVS. Don't think they have them anymore. You must have used all the 9/23 cpns and some mfg. cpns to get to zero. Glad they still worked. What exactly are the rebates? I see the one for $8 for four Beano--is that part of the $10? What else?

Here is some GREAT NEWS :rolleye2:  -- It means CVS just MADE at least $14.95 on each card holder for next week!!

This means a LOSS of AT LEAST $14.95 per card holder here in So Cal!! Of course your actual loss is closer to $20.00 per card when you factor in your total will now be $0.00 instead of $14.95 going towards the $x/$xx coupons available.

I guess CVS must really like us :rolleye2: :rolleye2: out here to instead give us a totally BETTER :rolleye2: offer for the meter.

So instead of being able to rotate your ECB's out of the crummy week of October 14 to October 20 -- you are now likely to be screwed. :( :ranting: :sadwalk:

So This $30 Rebate BS - Means this:

In Orange County you will PAY $2.33** just to see the rebate company lose and/or reject your rebate.

In LA County you will PAY $2.48** (with $0.15 of that going to the slimeball mayor of LA) just to see the rebate company lose and/or reject your rebate.

So now -- I stand to see $65.00 of ECB's :disapper: because of this. :ranting:

YES! I completely understand and agree with you. I always look at the post of the ECB deals for each week here on SlickDeals and look for coupons, but I can't really plan my trip until I actually have the weekly ad right in front of me. Maybe it helps me to see exactly what the items are/what they look like/confirm that the deals are in my area. So don't worry - you're not alone! I used to get the ad in my mailbox on Thursday afternoons, but no longer (that was about 6 months ago or so!) Nowhere can I find an early edition Sunday paper on Saturdays, so I always have to wait until Sunday. Oh well! Happy shopping! :)

**PD**

Where can you find your circular early? Are there stores that sell full papers early or did you find it somewhere else?

I get my papers on Saturday morning at Wal-Mart. They have the Sunday Early Editions then. I buy their "Double Deals" which are $2 each. Each "double deal" contains 2 papers. I buy 3 of those--so I get 6 sets of coupons for $6--pretty good deal!

I, too, am better able to plan when I have the ad right in front of me. I take my sharpie marker and write what coupons I have next to the picture of the items in which I'm interested. I also take those little post it note page tabs and tab my ad with the items I want. For example, my ad may have these tabs: Poise, Downy, Tide, wipes, Tylenol, etc. That way--when I'm in the store, I'm not having to flip and search through my ad. I just go straight to that page because it's tabbed. I always have to look at the ad when I'm in the store to make sure I buy the correct product so that I receive my ecb's. In the past, I haven't always bought the exact correct product-so I didn't get the ecb's. So I'm really careful about that now. I forgot to mention, before I start tabbing, I staple the side of the ad so that makes it easy to turn the pages.

I also tab my monthly deals book too.

Pam

I didn't want to belabor the previous posters information.
But that site that was mentioned shows a really nice rebate for the Beano, Phazyme, etc products. I just hope that you don't have to buy the 2,3, or 4 products all at once. Do you think it's ok to send in 2 or 3 receipts?
Do you get multiple ECBs if you buy the Beano 2 at a time?

Me too! I need visuals!
Add me to that group. I will get an envelope ready with Qs I have for each upcoming week, but I always have to use the ad to ensure I get the right size. And even then, the computer still will mess up. I'd rather catch it while in the store (or the parking lot) if I didn't get the ECBs I was expecting.

I need the ad too. Even when I do the coupon searches (which I'm doing now) I still get surprised by stuff when I actually see the ad.

After teasing me for letting ECBs expire bf let some of his expire :teehee: and he got caught by a meanie cashier. She was commenting on the dates on all of them, even the ones that were still good. so that was pretty annoying

OT cat stuff: Yesterday morning I learned that I should be even more happy that I have so much cat food. I got to pet the gray cat who's been hanging around in the early morning (stray #3). Not only is she a she (all 4 other cats are boys), she's recently become a mother. She's so tiny she looks like she's still a kitten herself. She was terrified the first time she saw me but she warmed up to me pretty fast. I sat with her for a bit this morning and she seemed happy to have me there (above and beyond how happy she was to eat).
It really gets to me that all three of these cats are so sweet. I know there are a bunch of others, but they run away fast. It's easier to not be so upset when they're feral but these three are so friendly after only a little kindness that they must have been someone's pet - then they stopped being tiny or started to be a hassle and they got ditched. :ranting: :(

sorry for all the OT - my cat is curled up asleep on my lap and I wish they all could have a lap of their own

I've developed a whole new envelope system where I'm keeping Qs for the monthly deals and the week's deals separate and if I find the Qs for a future week, I can go ahead and put them in there. So my envelope is all ready to go--once I check my flyer and the inserts for tomorrow, just in case :)

That's how I do it too, except I've recently switched from envelopes to using different sections of a plastic check organizer. There's a section for each week, each month, and then a few misc things like "fillers" and 'clearance"

I need the ad too. Even when I do the coupon searches (which I'm doing now) I still get surprised by stuff when I actually see the ad.

After teasing me for letting ECBs expire bf let some of his expire :teehee: and he got caught by a meanie cashier. She was commenting on the dates on all of them, even the ones that were still good. so that was pretty annoying

OT - I love your cat stories and I'm glad you share them. My DH tried to rescue a feral cat. He got to the point where he would come in the house so DH named him 'comehere.' dumb name but it fit for some reason. Well this cat would hide most of the time in the house and he would go out and come back everyday. We just kept him, had him neutered, got shots etc and the cat decided he hated me and would jump on my legs and hang there  :ouch: He would also do that to DH's 6 yr old daughter - not good. So we let him out and fed and watered him but he was never allowed back in the house. A friend wanted him and comehere seemed to like him so off to the friends house he went. He did the same thing to his GF and DD. Seemed comehere hated women. Ya think! I ramble - sorry - anyway you have a soft spot for cats, mine is for dogs. In face my dogs have been swiping my arm off my mouse all week cuz I'm obsessing over these blasted coupons. Gonna make a couple of runs then the rest of the day is theirs. Nothing like dog hugs and kisses!

It works for the ones that are on sale. :)

Sorry if I'm being a pain here, but just went through whole Wiki and still don't see this...could anyone point me in the right direction.

Also like to thank everyone here for all the hard work and info. Just got my daughter started on this with the Kraft deal ($7 oop) and after the Nicorette she's up to over $125 in ECB's and tons of free stuff to set up housekeeping and for baby expected in Feb. Couldn;t have done it without all of the great tips, links and scenarios. Great job everyone..I don't post much but appreciate everyone here!!

How long can I be considered a Newbie and ask silly questions? :) Cuz I have another one. I've searched the threads and can't find an answer. On the receipt under EC Card Balances it says American Greeting July-Aug total 17. What does that mean? I bought some cards but no where near 17.

The only silly question is one that was answered just a few posts above it (this seems to occur almost daily in the coupons thread  ). I don't know the answer so I like to believe that means it's not a simple question. It looks like CVS thinks you bought that many cards. I'm not really sure why it would be one there if it was supposed to end in August. :confuse3:

The spoiled brats inside are pretty good too. Oldest one (avatar guy) was a stray himself, so he seems to understand a little bit. The other one was adopted as a kitten so he only knows food and attention but they are both very affectionate and seem to have a decent sense of humor about the strays hanging around.
At this point the boy strays are so spoiled that they aren't as appreciative as they were. But they're still sweeties. One is still in here sleeping on my futon. I really do need to get them fixed asap - I hate to think about them being fathers of those and other kittens.
No, I don't work for any kind of group - we just started feeding one and others started showing up. I do want to make the boys indoor cats and get the 2nd one adopted (1st bonded to bf and I doubt he'll ever like anyone as much). I'm hoping the girl brings her kittens around some time since kittens are easier to get adopted.

Cat food at CVS: I was buying Iams for $9.99 and using the $5 coupon from last month's P&G (expired now). I bought at least 20 bags with them (thanks to the wonderful people here sending me coupons, I only got 2 papers with that insert myself). I got a lot of purina coupons too, but used most of those at target. I buy 9 lives and friskies cans whenever they go on sale at CVS - all the cat food is pretty much a loss in ECBs, but not much of a loss. I think they're clearing out the orange bags of Iams I was buying with the coupons. So if you check around you might find some that are between $5 and $1. I've sent for all the $8 Iams coupons that have been posted in the coupon forum, so I'm going to use those for more cat food at CVS, assuming they don't clear it all out before I get them. Even the dog food ones work for the cat food.

 cute story
My oldest one will hide from new men for a little while and he completely prefers women (women have usually been the ones who feed him).
I totally don't have the patience for ferals. I'm happy to give any cat food (and the german shepard who ate some of last night's food - but he ran away faster than the cats) but I don't think I could tame one. This was only the 4th time I've seen the girl cat at all and she rubbed on my legs. They're all pretty friendly as soon as they see me as a source of food.

The only boxer I knew thought he was a lap dog. but he was a sweetie. I love dogs too, I just don't have the space or any yard at all. :sadwalk: At least with cats I know I will never have to nap alone.

Me too.

I used envelopes then switched to binder with baseball card holder, then found it inconvenient to take into the store so I went back to taking an envelope with the coupons for the week in with me. I also put some filler coupons such as Johnson's for last minute deal changes. I keep the binder in the car with the last receipt of each card displayed in clear page so I can see what items have limits reached. The ECBs are paper clipped next to the receipt ready to be pulled out when I am working on that card.

I saw the bic luminere candle lighter at a CVS for 2.99 reg 7.99.That was when I searched the ad and saw it. Didn't notice it before. I had to go home to get the coupon since I had cleaned out my binder and left it in the accordian file at home. So 1.99 for the luminere is not bad I guess:rolleyes: No one was talking about it here so I wondered if it wasn't a big deal. I posted it last week but no response to that news. But I got one!:)

I believe the total (17) is seventeen dollars.

I've bought only one card the entire time and the total on that card is 4, so I think it may be from this deal from the archives (For August, spend $25, get one free card to $2.99) Looks like it was extended.

For those of you who have trouble getting Qs, see if your local Dollar Tree has newpapers. Ours sells them for a buck, which saves 75 cents/copy. And don't forget to be nice to your neighbors. A coupole of things noteworthy and free this week is the Playtex, the Johnsons Softlotion stuff, the Beano, the Crest Night stuff, and Palmalive.

Tomorrow I'll see if the older coupons are working as well. We can really use a money off coupon.. to cash in on the good savings in household and laundry. Lots of cleaning products cheap, but not free ;)

you're so much more motivated than I am :worship:
I'll be surprised if I make it to CVS at all today. I like being at home right now, it's actually peaceful - listening to breakfast with the beatles, bf and 3 cats are sleeping - nope - I shouldn't have typed that, now one cat is crying. :headbang:

OK SO I'M PLAYING THE MCDONALDS MONOPOLY GAME AND SO I'M PLUGGING MY CODES IN AND AND I LANDED ON BOARDWALK FOR THE ONLINE GAME WHICH IS 25K AND THE FARKIN COMP FROZE ON ME AND I'M SH TTING BRICKS NOW CUZ I'M TRYING TO SEE HOW i CAN RECOUP THIS... CRYING.....

 sorry

About two weeks ago there was a promotion from CVS for the Advil Maximum Strength. We all know that it wasn't approved by the FDA but there was a replacement for the CVS promotion. It was the caplets... 20 count or something. And it counted towards the Advil Max deal. Does anyone know if CVS is replacing another Advil for Advil Max?

How did we find out before? Did someone ask or did someone just buy another kind?

Hello, finally found this thread. was sick a few days but now i'm raring to go and missing CVS.

sorry you were sick  it's great to have you back!

 for taking care of the kitties. :)

Thank you!
Do you want a kitty?

now two cats are awake. now it's the fat one's turn to be a lap cat. I guess he doesn't know how many graham cracker crumbs I got on the other cat.
Now I have to prepare myself to cheer for the Angels. :faint:

I am visual as well!!! My receipt shows the tylenol deals too.

interesting. Maybe it's another secret monthly deal. That could explain why it's limit 5 instead of 1. Of course I can't back that up at all.

Crystal... I remember last year a lot of people had problems w/ computers freezing during the mcdonald's online game... lots of people landing on free parking or the rare spaces and then the game would freeze or move their game piece to a non-winning space. Don't beat up yourself or your computer too much. It is probably the way they rigged the game. Sorry though. It really is

Unfortunately, it reads that they must be on the SAME receipt...and it used to be 1 tube, onw it up to 2.

Jennifer

For the Colgate/Listerine rebate, it doesn't specifically state "on the same receipt", although it doesn't have an "s" on the word "receipt". I think I have sent two receipts for rebates worded like this and still gotten the rebate. The one for the Robitussin/Advil that many of us plan to do with last week's purchases is worded that way as well. I had to buy my Advil separately because the first CVS was out of it, so I will have to send two receipts on that one also.
Does anyone know for sure about this? Also on this same topic, I have read some posts esp. with the glucose monitor rebates where people say to black out parts of the receipt so that it won't be obvious how little was actually paid. I would think that doing that would invalidate the receipt. Has anybody actually gotten a rebate like that?

Ok lil thing to the McD game....All the pieces I got were picked off the floor and trash... I've not spent any money on this game ... After winning a few food prizes I went thru drive thru and freakin 2 med fries and 2 sm drinks was going to cost $6 if I didnt have the Qs.... Now I remember why I dont eat out.... Heads up on the Colgate/listerine rebate--the stuff that's for ecb right now isn't the right size. Says it must be 6oz or larger. And I got Listerine just for that! Well, and b/c hubby uses it, and I didn't actually pay money for it, so.....

Had a bad trip to CVS. Not super bad, just annoying. I got some Clean and Clear, and when I was checking out, the cashier tells me I can't use my printed coupon for it. I asked why, and the shift supervisor comes over and says that's the new policy. She said the manager said they can't take any of them. I got the name of the supervisor and the manager, and almost started laughing when I saw the name. I'd had a problem with that same manager (at a different store) about a year ago. She'd said no rainchecks for Pantene because it was on sale--What?!?! I called corp back then, and ended up getting a gift card for $25 when a different manager called to apologize and tell me I could come in and get as much Pantene as I wanted at the sale price. Now I'll call again! Anyway, I finished paying (with ecb), but was steaming the whole time. By the time DD finished buying her candy, I decided to return it on the spot. The supervisor didn't ask for my receipt or anything, just gave me back cash. I think she just wanted me gone. If all of CVS stopped taking printed coupons, I would severely limit my business there--unless they get more $/$$

On a happy note, I went to another CVS where they gladly took all of my coupons, and sold me 3 books of stamps and let me pay for them with ecbs. I needed to kill some ecbs, and you can never have too many stamps!
